Sprint Block Start
- Place your starting blocks in position on the track, aligning them with your preferred stance.
- Get into a sprinter’s stance with one foot in front and the other behind in the blocks.
- Place your hands shoulder-width apart on the track, fingers spread for a strong grip.
- Keep your back straight, head down, and hips raised slightly.
- The leg in front is your lead leg; the arm on the same side is your lead arm. Position them at around a 90-degree angle.
- The leg behind is your trail leg; the arm on the same side is your trail arm. Position them slightly back.
- Load your weight onto your rear leg, creating tension for a powerful push-off.
- Explode out of the blocks, driving your lead arm and leg forward, and quickly transitioning into an upright sprinting position.
