Sprint Block Start
Sprint Block Start
  1. 1 - Place your starting blocks in position on the track, aligning them with your preferred stance.
  2. 2 - Get into a sprinter’s stance with one foot in front and the other behind in the blocks.
  3. 3 - Place your hands shoulder-width apart on the track, fingers spread for a strong grip.
  4. 4 - Keep your back straight, head down, and hips raised slightly.
  5. 5 - The leg in front is your lead leg; the arm on the same side is your lead arm. Position them at around a 90-degree angle.
  6. 6 - The leg behind is your trail leg; the arm on the same side is your trail arm. Position them slightly back.
  7. 7 - Load your weight onto your rear leg, creating tension for a powerful push-off.
  8. 8 - Explode out of the blocks, driving your lead arm and leg forward, and quickly transitioning into an upright sprinting position.
