Cycling
- 1 - Straddle your bicycle and ensure both feet are flat on the ground. Swing your leg over the saddle (seat) and sit down.
- 2 - Push off with one foot and start pedaling. As you gain momentum, place your other foot on the pedal.
- 3 - Keep your back straight and your head facing forward. Relax your shoulders and grip the handlebars comfortably.
- 4 - Use a smooth and even pedal stroke. Push down with one foot while pulling up with the other.
- 5 - If your bike has multiple gears, shift to higher or lower gears depending on the terrain and your desired effort level. Lower gears make pedaling easier for uphill climbs, while higher gears provide more speed on flat terrain.
- 6 - Use the handlebars to steer and maintain balance. Look ahead to anticipate changes in the road or trail.
- 7 - After your ride, gradually slow down and return to a comfortable pace. This helps prevent muscle stiffness.
