Barbell Step-Up
  1. 1 - Place a barbell on your upper back, resting it across your shoulders. Ensure the weight is evenly distributed.
  2. 2 - Stand in front of a sturdy bench or platform. The height should be such that your thigh is parallel to the ground when your foot is on it.
  3. 3 - Step onto the bench or platform with one foot. Your entire foot should be on the platform, ensuring stability.
  4. 4 - Push through your heel and engage your thigh muscles to lift your body up onto the platform. Keep your chest up, and maintain a neutral spine.
  5. 5 - Fully extend your hip and knee to stand upright on the platform. Both feet should be on the platform.
  6. 6 - Slowly lower your other foot back to the ground while keeping the working foot on the platform.
  7. 7 - Perform the desired number of repetitions with one leg before switching to the other. Each step up and down counts as one repetition.
