Stair-Elevated Calf Raise
- 1 - Stand at the bottom of a staircase or on a stable elevated surface, like a step or block.
- 2 - Place the balls of your feet on the edge of the step, allowing your heels to hang off.
- 3 - Hold onto a railing or wall for balance if needed.
- 4 - Keep your legs straight (but not locked) or slightly bent at the knees.
- 5 - Slowly raise your heels as high as you can by pushing up with your toes, contracting your calf muscles.
- 6 - Hold the raised position for a moment to feel the stretch in your calves.
- 7 - Lower your heels below the step level to get a full range of motion.
- 8 - Repeat the calf raises for the desired number of repetitions.
