- You’ll need two heavy objects of equal weight, such as dumbbells, kettlebells, or farmer’s walk handles.
- Stand between the two heavy objects, and ensure they’re placed evenly on the ground.
- Bend at the hips and knees to reach down and grip the handles of the heavy objects. Use an overhand grip (palms facing your body).
- Tighten your abdominal muscles to stabilize your spine.
- Lift the heavy objects off the ground and stand up straight. Your shoulders should be pulled back, and your chest should be lifted. Hold the heavy objects at your sides.
- Start walking while maintaining an upright posture. Take small, controlled steps, keeping your core engaged, and your arms relaxed but firmly holding onto the handles.
- Walk a set distance, such as 50 feet, or for a predetermined amount of time.
- Carefully lower the heavy objects back to the ground when you’ve completed the walk.
