Chair-Assisted Sit-Up
  1. 1 - Place a sturdy chair on a non-slip surface.
  2. 2 - Sit on the floor with your knees bent and your back several inches away from the chair.
  3. 3 - Position the chair so that your feet can comfortably hook under it, securing them in place.
  4. 4 - Cross your arms over your chest or place your hands on the sides of your head.
  5. 5 - Engage your core muscles by pulling your navel towards your spine.
  6. 6 - Slowly lift your upper body off the floor by flexing your abdominal muscles.
  7. 7 - Exhale as you come up and inhale as you lower yourself back to the floor with control.
