Cable Wood Chop
- 1 - Attach a single-handled rope or handle to a high cable pulley machine. Stand sideways to the machine with your feet shoulder-width apart.
- 2 - Grasp the handle with both hands, interlocking your fingers, and hold it close to your body at the side of your hip.
- 3 - Begin with your arms straight, facing the machine, and your knees slightly bent.
- 4 - Rotate your torso away from the machine while pulling the handle diagonally across your body and upward, ending with your hands over your opposite shoulder.
- 5 - As you rotate, engage your core muscles and pivot your back foot. Keep your arms extended throughout the movement.
- 6 - Reverse the motion by slowly bringing the handle back to the starting position, controlling the cable’s resistance.
- 7 - Complete the desired number of reps on one side before switching to the other side. Alternate sides to work both obliques and core muscles.
