Barbell Step-Up With Knee Drive
- 1 - Set up a sturdy bench or platform in front of you.
- 2 - Place a barbell on your upper back, similar to a back squat position. You can also use dumbbells or kettlebells if you prefer.
- 3 - Stand facing the bench with your feet hip-width apart and the barbell resting on your shoulders.
- 4 - Step up onto the bench with one leg, driving through your heel to lift your body.
- 5 - As you reach the top of the step, drive your opposite knee upwards, bringing it toward your chest.
- 6 - Lower your raised knee back down as you step down from the bench.
- 7 - Repeat the exercise on the same leg for the desired number of repetitions.
- 8 - After completing the set, switch to the other leg and repeat the movement.
