Scorpion Stretch
- 1 - Start by lying face down on a yoga mat or flat surface, with your arms extended to the sides.
- 2 - Spread your legs hip-width apart.
- 3 - Lift your right leg off the ground and bend it at the knee, bringing your heel toward your buttocks.
- 4 - Simultaneously, reach your right foot over your left leg and try to touch the ground on the left side with your toes. Your right hip should come off the floor as you twist your lower body.
- 5 - Keep your chest and upper body on the ground as you extend your right leg behind you.
- 6 - Your right foot should ideally point in the opposite direction to your head, resembling a scorpion’s tail.
- 7 - Hold this position for 15-30 seconds, breathing deeply.
- 8 - Release and repeat the stretch on the other side. Lift your left leg, bend the knee, and rotate it over your right leg.
